All this bashing towards Allkpop shows how unaware people are of the media and their ways.
Guys, Allkpop is a site that TRANSLATES Korean article for YOU to read. It is a service. Translators select articles for you that you would likely be interested in reading.
Whether you go apeshit over an article or not basically shows your level of intelligence.
Going apeshit over Allkpop is not the way to go. Allkpop are NOT the ones who originally writes a majority of the articles featured on the site. They are merely translations of KOREAN sites. If you’re going to go apeshit over someone or something, go apeshit over the ORIGINAL article writer.



For once scroll down to the end of the article and take a proper look at the motherfucking SOURCE.

It is your choice whether you click and read or not. Your choice to go apeshit over it. You were not FORCED to read the fucking article, neither were you FORCED to go apeshit over it.
Your behaviour displays your awareness towards the contextual factors of the article. Going apeshit towards Allkpop shows that you do not realise that Allkpop are not the original writers of the article and a majority of the ‘facts’ that are presented in the article are most likely OPINIONS/VIEWS that derived from ANALYSIS.
WHY DO YOU CARE SO MUCH ABOUT WHAT OTHERS SAY?
Nowadays, globally, the media often creates moral panics. They sensationalise stories, exaggerate the norm and etc. Surely you would’ve realised that by now, why are you so gullible?

It’s not like Allkpop can hunt down a GOOD Korean article defending G-Dragon’s marijuana case. Clearly Korean articles would put G-Dragon in a bad light since South Korean society is completely different to our society’s values.

“WHY DOES ALLKPOP POST THEM ANYWAY? CAN’T THEY JUST NOT POST?!”

Actually I found Allkpop’s translated article titled: “Is Big Bang on the verge of collapse?” a very interesting read. Maybe because I’m a media/communications student. Maybe because Allkpop doesn’t just want to be merely a tabloid news site.
Allkpop’s not only a platform to share trivial stories like “XXX JUST SHARED A FUCKING SELCA ON TWITTER, GUSH OVER IT BITCHES.” At times they do pick out interesting analytical articles to translate, in which a majority of Kpop fans don’t read unless they spot something seemingly controversial with it.
I for one love Big Bang. Although they’re not my ultimate favourite band I am not at all phased by the Allkpop articles about G-Dragon and his marijuana.
This is why I think all Kpop fans should take media studies, because then everyone wouldn’t look like dipshits on the internet.
Guys, let’s all be smart and intellectual fans kay?
